Location data is collected strictly at user discretion via device permissions.
Connect Auz is not responsible for inaccurate, delayed, or misleading location data.

2.4 Technical & System Data

  • Device identifiers

  • IP address

  • App usage logs

  • Crash reports and diagnostics

3. Absolute Data Ownership

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • All data generated, uploaded, derived, or processed through the Application is the exclusive property of Connect Auz Pty Ltd

  • Users waive any ownership, proprietary, or intellectual property claims over platform data

  • Users are granted only a revocable, non-exclusive, limited licence to access the Application

4. User Responsibility & Risk Allocation

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are solely responsible for all data you submit

  • Connect Auz does not verify, validate, audit, or guarantee accuracy

  • Any legal, regulatory, professional, or operational consequences arising from data use rest entirely with you

  • You assume all risks associated with reliance on the Application

5. Use of Information

We may use collected data at our sole discretion, including for:

  • Operating and maintaining the Platform

  • Analytics, research, and reporting

  • Wildlife and environmental studies

  • Policy development and compliance

  • AI, machine learning, and system training

  • Commercial, regulatory, or strategic purposes

  • Platform improvement and security monitoring

6. Data Sharing & Disclosure (Broad Consent)

You irrevocably consent that Connect Auz may disclose data to:

  • Wildlife, environmental, and conservation bodies

  • Universities and research institutions

  • Technology and infrastructure providers

Important:

  • Data may be identifiable, de-identified, aggregated, or partially anonymised

You acknowledge that:

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Connect Auz disclaims all liability for:

  • Downtime or outages

  • Loss, corruption, or unauthorised access

8. Security Disclaimer

While reasonable security measures are applied:

  • Absolute security is not guaranteed

  • Use of the Application is entirely at your own risk

  • You accept all consequences arising from security incidents

9. Data Retention & Deletion

  • Data may be retained indefinitely

  • Deletion requests are not guaranteed

  • Data may persist after account termination for legal, operational, research, or business purposes

10. User Rights (Strictly Limited)

Subject to law:

  • Access or correction requests may be refused

  • No right exists to demand deletion where data is required by ConnectAuz

  • ConnectAuz retains final discretion over data handling

11. No Emergency, Professional, or Safety Reliance

You acknowledge that:

  • The Application is not an emergency service

  • It provides no legal, medical, veterinary, or safety advice

  • Any reliance on the Application is at your sole risk

12. International Data Handling

Data may be processed or stored outside Australia.
You waive any objection to overseas data handling.

13. Changes Without Notice
